Architecture that makes us drool...

Michaelis Boyd Associates is a design-led architectural practice with a uniquely creative approach. The practice was established in 1995 by Alex Michaelis and Tim Boyd and has earned a reputation for simple, elegant architecture that they have applied to retail, residential, restaurant and hotel projects. You can easily lose a couple of hours looking through the impressive portfolio of work on their website. Plus, it's possible to search through the portfolio by room type or finishes, such as glass, concrete, wood, stone etc, which makes it pretty handy if you are looking for inspiration for your own project. Trying to select which of Michaelis Boyd's many fantastic projects to feature in this post was not easy but here are eight that really caught my eye. The first is a pool house in Gloucestershire which was completed in 2014. The wooden cladded exterior look incredible. I can't get enough of this glass wall and door. I have always been a sucker for large windows and exposed brick.
