Design Inspiration - A Kitchen by Blakes London

Our design inspiration this week came in the shape of this gorgeous kitchen by Blakes London. The kitchen is from a house situated in South East London and was created by Jamie Blake of Blakes London, an Interior Design and bespoke furniture manufacturing company. Such & Such have long been fans of this interior design company and we think this kitchen is completely knock out. There is a great mix of materials in this project from the wooden kitchen fronts and painted cabinets, to the carrara marble worktops and white exposed brick wall. The brick wall which runs down one side of the kitchen diner, gives the space an industrial element which is perfectly juxtaposed against the very precise and modern feel of the painted & glass cabinetry opposite. foxgrovekitchen-x760-1 foxgrovekitchen-cabinets-x760 The white subway tiles used in the cupboards create added interest when looking at the expanse of cabinetry and the copper taps add another industrial element to the overall design and they contrast nicely with the sleekness of the marble worktop and splashback. foxgrovekitchen-cabinetry The cabinetry all designed and made by Blakes London is painted in one of our favourite Farrow & Ball shades, Railings and we love the floor to ceiling height of these cabinets. foxgrovekitchen-lights-x760   foxgrovekitchen-wall-ercol-sofa-x760 We love all the small details as well such as the space for herbs to be grown in the island unit (below), the lighting above the island and table, the Ercol sofa found on ebay and the copper taps over the sink. foxgrovekitchen-wall-x760 To see more projects by Blakes London head to there website and check out their projects section.
