A simple but striking twin tone lampshade that looks great whether hanging from the ceiling as a pendant or on top of a lamp. The lampshade brings together two inspiring colours that have been carefully matched from Little Greene's paint collection, Loft White and Jack Black. The lampshades have a clean but bold aesthetic and are made entirely from one single material, two sheets of heavyweight paper that have been screen printed on the inside and out and bonded together. The lampshades create a strong visual focus and intimate atmosphere, and are just as at home in the kitchen, living room or hallway as they are in a bedroom. There are no plastic components, making the lampshades entirely recyclable and biodegradable. The paper is FSC certified and sustainably produced by one of the oldest and last remaining speciality paper makers, based in the Lake District. The lampshades are then manufactured by artisan finishers in Nottingham, giving them very low production miles. Lane By Post was founded by graphic designers, Joff Casciani and Ollie Wood. The two designers originally joined forces over a decade ago to start a design agency, which is still running today. Following this they launched Lane By Post, a range of homeware for people who love graphic design. Their colourful and often quite minimal designs bring a graphic design aesthetic in to the home.
The Lane By Post duo believe in Britain's heritage of making high quality products and materials and supporting the skilled craftspeople making such products. Their signature papers are made by James Cropper in the Lake District – one of the oldest and most respected mills in the UK – and their prints are hand-pulled by traditional craftsmen in Nottingham.
