Salt Pigs are great to keep next to your cooker or on the kitchen table for seasoning food, especially when they look as good this. Each Salt Pig is made by hand on a kick wheel in three parts and then assembled, bisque fired, dip glazed and then re-fired to just over 1200c. As well as a generous opening so that you can easily fit our hand in for a good pinch of salt, the white stoneware salt pigs also feature a well sized handle for easy transfer from cooker to table. Made by Christopher Viviani of Clod & Pebble, a trained sculptor whose ceramic ware is a step away from the mundane and lifeless mass produced tableware often seen. Instead, Christopher's work is a celebration of individuality and uniqueness. Christopher believes the right piece of tableware can change your relationship with food and increase your pleasure of eating. He designs and makes each piece by hand in his studio in Scotland.
